2021 ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS INVITATION FOR BID IFB2022-001 The Town of Hamilton, Massachusetts, acting through its Department of Public Works, invites sealed bids for “2021 Road Improvements Project IFB2022-001.” Bids will be received at the offce of the Hamilton Town Clerk, located at Hamilton Town Hall, 577 Bay Road, PO Box 429, Hamilton, Massachusetts 01936 until 11:00 A.M. local time on August 11th, 2021, at which time and place, said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of drainage system improvements, pavement repairs, and pavement resurfacing along all or portions of Bridge Street, Miles River Road, Essex Street, Appaloosa Lane, Forest Street, Village Lane, Beech Street, and Lake Shore Avenue. This project is being funded in whole or in part by Chapter 90 funds. To bid on this project, Contractors must be prequalifed in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, Prequalifcation of Contractors by MassDOT in the Category of Pavement – Surfacing. Bid Security: Certifed, treasurer’s or cashier’s check or bid bond in the sum of fve (5) percent of the Total Bid is required. Electronic copy (PDF format) of Contract Documents may be obtained on Wednesday, July 21st, 2021 at 9:00 am via email by contacting Tim Olson, the Director of Public Works, at tolson@hamiltonma.gov or 978-626-5227. There is no fee associated with obtaining documents by email. Hard copy of Documents will not be mailed to Bidders. All Bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26-27, inclusive, as amended. The successful Bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds. The Owner and Engineer, being considered the sole and only judge, reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any or all bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the Owner’s best interest to do so.
