ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS LYNDEBOROUGH ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT TOWN OF NEW BOSTON NEW BOSTON, NEW HAMPSHIRE Separate sealed bids for the above-mentioned project will be received by the OWNER at the following location: New Boston Town Hall 7 Meetinghouse Hill Road New Boston, New Hampshire 03070 Attention: Peter Flynn, Town Administrator Sealed bids for the construction of the LYNDEBOROUGH ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT will be received at this location until 10:00 AM Prevailing Time on June 24, 2021. No late bids, telephone, faxed, or emailed bids will be accepted. On that same day all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of the following: Project work includes but is not limited to: construction layout, erosion controls, tree clearing, stumping & grubbing, temporary stream diversion, common excavation, installation of precast footings & bridge, structural backfill, stream restoration & plantings, drainage swale, roadway selects, binder course of pavement, gravel shoulders, and permanent establishment of vegetation growth. All project work shall take place while maintaining appropriate traffic control and erosion control throughout construction. The New Boston Highway Department will provide all roadway selects to contractor and has purchased precast bridge from CSI of Hudson. Highway Department will also be responsible to furnish and install guardrail through their subcontractor once bridge installation is complete. The Town reserves the right to reduce or increase scope of work based on available funds. Funding for this project has been secured and the work is expected to commence late Summer, 2021. There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting held at the New Boston Town Hall on June 10, 2021 @ 10:00 AM, which all bidders are required to attend. Partial sets will not be distributed. Paper copies will not be furnished. Contractor must be registered plan holder with Northpoint Engineering to submit qualified bid proposal. Contract time for the project will be calculated from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed as follows: 60 calendar days for Substantial Completion 90 calendar days for Final Completion Liquidated damages shall be $500 for each calendar day beyond the date established for Substantial Completion and $250 for each calendar day beyond the date established for Final Completion. BIDDERS will be required to provide bid security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. The successful BIDDER must furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and a separate one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within ten (10) days following notification of the acceptance of his/her bid. The project will be awarded to the CONTRACTOR who is the most reasonable and responsible low bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, or to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the OWNER. No BIDDER may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Peter Flynn, Town Administrator Town of New Boston
