ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NANTICOKE CITY HALL REST ROOM RENOVATION 15 E. Ridge St. Nanticoke, PA 18634 Electronic bids will be accepted to furnish and complete all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services for all the work required for the Rest Room Renovation at Nanticoke City Hall, 15 E. Ridge St, Nanticoke, PA 18634. Bids will be received by Nanticoke City Hall 15 E. Ridge Street, Nanticoke, PA 18634 until 12 Noon, prevailing time, May 14th, 2021. Bids will be opened electronically and read aloud. This project will be bid to a single prime contract, including the following: CONTRACT CONSTRUCTION- NANTICOKE CITY HALL REST ROOM RENOVATION generally consisting of demolition and remodel (construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC) of (2) existing rest rooms. Electronic sealed Bids are to be submitted online via the PennBid Program until 12:00 Noon (local time), May 14th and then publicly opened and read aloud same time at the NANTICOKE CITY HALL, 15 E. Ridge St., Nanticoke, PA 18634. All bid Documents and solicitation details are available online at no cost at PennBid – www.PennBid.net The contractor must comply with the minimum rates for wages for laborers and mechanics as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract must be paid on this project and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex, handicap, or national origin. Bidders are also advised that HUD’s Section 3 requirements apply to this contract. Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) are encouraged to bid. For all contracts over $25,000, the minimum participation level for MBE’s is 5% and for WBE’s is 3%. The requirements are per CDBG Grant Requirements 2019 Removal of Architectural Barriers. This contract is expected to be funded in whole or in part using funds from the CDBG 2019 entitlement grant. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds of the Contract on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents. A bid guarantee from each bidder equal to 5% of the bid price is required and can be in the form of a Bond or Cashier’s check that are returned to the unsuccessful bidders. A Pre-Bid conference will be held at Nanticoke City Hall, 15 E. Ridge Street, Nanticoke, PA 18634, on Monday, May 3rd at 9:00 AM.
