ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Public notice is hereby given that Big Beaver Borough will receive sealed bids at the Big Beaver Borough Municipal Building – 114 Forest Drive, Darlington, PA 16115 until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on Tuesday March 16, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Big Beaver Borough Firehall 621 Friendship Road, Darlington PA 16115 for furnishing the following items/contracts: Contract No. 2021-1 1. 500 Tons of OH #617 or PA 2A Limestone 2. 850 Tons of AASHTO #7 Limestone Alternate Bid Items 3. 700 Tons of AASHTO #67 Limestone 4. 150 Tons of AASHTO #8 Limestone Contract No. 2021-2 1. 20,500 SY Double Seal Bituminous Coating 2. 20,500 SY of Prime Coat Contract No. 2021-3 1. Aley Hill Road 20,500 S.Y. of Shallow Grind, Profile, and Compaction All bidding requirements, conditions and materials furnished shall conform to the current specifications of Penn DOT form 408 and appropriate Bulletins unless otherwise specified. Bidders may submit proposals on any individual item or any combination of these items or on all items. Proposal Forms, Specifications, Form of Contract and Instructions to Bidders may be viewed and obtained at the Big Beaver Borough Municipal Office at 114 Forest Drive, Darlington, Pennsylvania 16115. All proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the Municipality and delivered as specified in Instructions to Bidders. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check payable to Big Beaver Borough or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid total. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply to Contract No. 2021-3 for construction contracts greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000). The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any proposal or any part of a proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough.
