ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids addressed to the City of Heath Director of Public Works, will be received at the Public Works Office, Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive, Tuesday, June 15, 2021, until the hour of 3:00 pm, for the following project:
City of Heath Annual Asphalt Street Repair 2020-2021
The project includes approximately: 3544 Square Yards of 2-1/2″ Asphalt Milling; 700 Square Yards of Asphalt Removal (2-5″ depth); 300 Tons 1-1/2″ TXDOT Type D HMAC Overlay by Laydown Machine, 100 Tons TXDOT Type D HMAC Placed and Rolled, and other miscellaneous items.
This is an annual street repair project and quantities may be more or less than in the bid schedule. Construction time is 75 Calendar Days.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope externally marked-
City of Heath Annual Asphalt Street Repair 2020-2021.
Bids will be opened and publicly read in the City Community Room at the Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive.
No bids will be open or considered if received after the specified time.
Prequalification is not required. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities and/or to accept the bid or bids deemed best for the City.
A 5% Bid Bond is due with the bids. A Payment Bond (Bid over $25,000) and/or Performance Bond (Bid over $100,000) will be required for this project, depending on amount of bid. A Maintenance Bond will be required (1-year, 100%), if a Performance Bond is not required.
Bid documents may be examined and procured at the City of Heath Public Works Office located at the Heath City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive, Heath, Texas (phone numbers- 972-961-4885/fax 469-273-4015), at no cost, beginning Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Only those Bids received from Contractors who have obtained the plans and specifications for this project from the City of Heath and are listed on the City’s plan holders list, will be opened at the bid opening for consideration
