ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for: CHEMICAL BIDS FOR CITY OF ASHEBORO WATER/WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS will be received by the City of Asheboro until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 09, 2021, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 146 N. Church Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 and then at said place will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing and delivering the City’s requirements for Liquid Alum, Liquid Caustic Soda, Fluosilicic Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite 12%, Liquid Sodium Permanganate, Calcium Nitrate and Magnesium Hydroxide during a one-year period from April 16, 2021 until April 15, 2022. Each bid submitted as part of this formal bidding process must be made on the blank forms provided (Appendices A & B) and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Michael D. Rhoney, PE, Water Resources Director and delivered to 146 N. Church St., Asheboro, NC 27203 or mailed to PO Box 1106, Asheboro, NC 27204-1106. The name and address of the bidder must be plainly written on the outside of the envelope, and the envelope marked “CHEMICAL BIDS.” Copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained at City Hall, 146 N Church St, Asheboro, NC 27203, (336) 626-1201, Ext. 258 Monday Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids. Bids may be rejected for any reason determined by the Owner’s governing board to be in the best interest of the City. If a contract is awarded, it will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance, and the time specified in the bids for performance of the contract. The City also reserves the right to waive informalities. Upon award by the City Council, the City will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award. No exceptions, unrequested additions, deletions, purported clarifications, and/or any other types of modifications of the proposed forms, terms, conditions, and specifications may be submitted with the bid package. No information/documentation beyond what is specifically requested is to be submitted. Any bid containing such exceptions or modifications will be deemed non-responsive, and, accordingly will not be considered. 1t: February 21, 2021
