ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the CYPRESS STREET SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT will be received online via the PennBid Program, by THROOP BOROUGH, until 11:30 AM local time on MARCH 5, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be opened electronically and publicly posted on PennBid’s website. The Project consists of replacement of one sanitary manhole and installation of one new manhole, installation of 225 feet of 12-inch diameter SDR-35 PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe including temporary by-pass pumping, reconnection of 10 sanitary sewer laterals, replacement of 6 sanitary laterals to the r/w line including new cleanouts, temporary and permanent asphalt base repair, asphalt milling and paving, asphalt sidewalk and curb restoration, pavement markings, erosion control and temporary traffic control during construction in the Borough of Throop, Lackawanna County. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All bidding documents are available at no cost at https://pennbid.pro cureware.com. A pre-bid tele-conference will be held on FEBRUARY 24, 2021 at 9:30 AM by calling 1-866-414-2828, confirmation number 609849. Attendance at the pre-bid tele-conference is mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The following wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract: PA Prevailing Wage Rates. A PENNDOT HOP permit applies. Contractor will be responsible for providing required PENNDOT testing. Contractor will be responsible for PENNDOT inspection coordination and costs.
