Local Time and then publicly OPENED and READ ALOUD at 7:00 P.M. Local Time, May 11, 2021, Meeting of Borough Council, at the BOROUGH OF DURYEA, MUNICIPAL BUILDING, 315 MAIN STREET, DURYEA, PA 18642, for the following Project: 2021 SKYTOP DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BIDS are invited upon the following items of work as follows: Maintenance & Protection of Traffic, Catch Basins, Storm Sewer, Connection to Existing, Leveling, Wearing Courses, And Miscellaneous Related Work. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at the Office of PENNEASTERN ENGINEERS, LLC 165 North Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. COPIES of the Contract Documents may be obtained by depositing a non refundable FIFTY DOLLARS ($ 50.00) per set per contract, during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday at the office of PENNEASTERN ENGINEERS, LLC., (570) 823-4712. BID SECURITY in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Performance, Payment & Maintenance Bonds are required by the successful bidder. THE BOROUGH OF DURYEA reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. BIDS may be held by the BOROUGH OF DURYEA for a period not to exceed FORTY-FIVE (45) days from the date of the Opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, prior to awarding the Contract. In this period of time, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid. Non-discrimination/sexual harassment in employment-bidders on their work will be required to comply with the NONDISCRIMINATION/ SEXUAL HARASSMENT CLAUSE included in the contract documents shall not by reason of gender, race, creed, or color, discriminate against any citizen of this Commonwealth who is qualified and available to perform the work to which the employment relates. Prevailing Wage Rate Determination from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry shall be used in this project.
