ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Department of Spokane Public Schools at 2815 East Garland Avenue, Spokane, WA 99207, for the following Public Works project: Bid No. 14-2021 Spokane Public Schools Libby Center Classroom Remodel. until 2:00:00 p.m. PDT, Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Base bids will be received until 2:00:00 p.m. Bids received after the above times will not be considered. Drawings, specifications and forms of contract documents may be obtained beginning Monday, April 5, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. at the Spokane Public Schools Capital Projects and Planning Office, 2815 E. Garland Avenue, Spokane, WA, 99207. Please call Randy Lasswell at (509) 354-7170 to schedule a time to pick up the plans. There will be a Mandatory pre-bid conference for this project on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. The conference will be held at the Libby Center, 2900 E. First Avenue, Spokane, WA 99202. Spokane Public Schools encourages the participation of Minority Owned and Women Owned Business Enterprises in this Invitation to Bid. Individuals with disabilities who may need special accommodations to participate in the public bid opening meeting should contact Barb Carson, Purchasing Services, at (509) 354-7186 no later than three days before the scheduled date of the meeting so that arrangements for the modifications can be made. Also, due to the COVID-19 virus, we request that no more than two (2) representatives from each contractor be present at the Bid Opening. We will open this bid in Conference Room 106 of the Capital Projects address printed above and seating will be in accordance with acceptable social distancing standards. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond with a State Licensed Surety, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, made payable to Spokane Public Schools. This surety shall be forfeited in the event of failure by the successful bidder to sign a contract or to furnish the necessary one hundred (100%) percent Performance and Payment Bond. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
