ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Borough of Monaca, Beaver County, Pennsylvania shall accept sealed bids at the Office of the Borough Manager, 928 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 for the 11th Street Storm Sewer Extension. Bids will be opened publicly by the Borough Manager on the date and hour set above for the bid closing. The project involves the installation of a storm sewer extension consisting of 427 linear feet of 18″ storm sewer pipe, 28 linear feet of 12″ storm sewer pipe, one inlet and two manholes. The Invitation, preparation and submittal of bidding requirements, all materials furnished and all work shall conform to all applicable parts of the contract documents. Bidding documents, technical specifications and contract drawings are available only via download from the Widmer Engineering Inc. website at: www.widmerengineering.com under “Bids”. All questions regarding the plans and specifications for this project must be emailed to monacastormsewer@widmerengineering.com. Responses to questions received shall be publicly displayed on the Widmer Engineering Inc. website. All requests for clarification must be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the anticipated date of receipt of Bids Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bank Check, Money Order, or Bidder Surety Bond equaling ten (10) percent of the bid amount as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract shall be entered into and its’ performance properly secured. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time set for the bid opening. Bids, whether mailed or delivered in person, shall be sealed and marked “11th Street Storm Sewer Extension”. Upon successful award of the contract, a 100% Performance, 100% Payment and 100% Maintenance Bond shall be required. The minimum wage rates for each craft or classification of all workmen needed to perform each contract during the anticipated term hereof shall be governed by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rate Determination attached to the bidding documents. The Borough of Monaca reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Borough. David L.
