ADVERTISEMENT INVITATION TO BID DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS SEWER DIVISION CHATHAM, MASSACHUSETTS SEWER GRAVITY LINES, MANHOLES, STUBS, FORCEMAINS, AIR RELEASE CHAMBERS, LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS AND FLUSHING CHAMBERS REPAIRS CONTRACT NUMBER 2022 – 02 (JULY 1, 2021, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2023) Sealed bids for the repairs and/or replacement of sewer gravity lines, manholes, stubs, forcemains, air release chambers, low pressure systems and flushing chambers for the Department of Public Works Sewer Division will be received by the Town of Chatham’s Town Accountant’s Office, Town Hall, 549 Main Street, Chatham, Massachusetts 02633, until 2:30 p.m. local time, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Specifications, bidding documents, and bid forms may be secured at the Sewer Division’s Office, Department of Public Works Building, 221 Crowell Road, Chatham, Massachusetts 02633, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid bond in the amount of $1000.00 and satisfactory to the Town of Chatham or a certified check drawn on a national bank or trust company in the amount of $1,000.00, and payable to the Town of Chatham. The bid surety shall be subject to the conditions provided in the “Invitation for Bidders”. All bid suretys except those of the three lowest responsible and eligible bidders will be returned within ten days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excluded, after the opening of proposals. All bid suretys will be returned on the execution of the contract, or if no award is made within ninety days after opening of the bids. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the bids are open for a period of ninety (90) days. The successful bidder shall be available to respond to emergency calls 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The successful bidder shall be required to secure a Payment and Materials Bond in the amount of $20,000.00 payable to the Town of Chatham. The Payment and Materials Bonds shall be satisfactory to the Town of Chatham. The surety shall be required for the faithful payment for all labor and materials used in the work.
