CITY OF LAKE STATION,

INDIANA STORMWATER UTILITY BOARD

Sealed bids will be received by the CITY OF LAKE STATION

STORMWATER UTILITY BOARD, Owner, at the Clerk-Treasurers Office located in Lake Station City Hall, 1969 Central Avenue, Lake Station, 46405 until 4:00 p.m. (local time), on February 8, 2021 after which time they can be delivered to the Board of Directors during its meeting, scheduled for that date to begin at 5:30pm local time, at the time the presiding Board official calls for any additional bids and, thereafter, the time for submitting bids will be closed. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received later than the above time will be returned unopened.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Bids are solicited for the City of Lake Station Service Street Storm Sewer Improvements located along

Service Street between Huntington Street and Grand Boulevard.

Construction work will include

installation of 760’ of 24” storm sewer, drainage structures,

stormwater quality structure, and restoration.

BID DOCUMENTS: Copies of the Bid Documents, Plans and

Specifications, and other Contract

Documents may be obtained

electronically from the offices of Butler, Fairman, and Seufert, Inc. at 8450 Westfield Blvd., Suite 300,

Indianapolis, Indiana 46240 (317-713-4615). Copies of the Bid Documents will be made available through digital files and made available to the plan holder for download upon remittance of $50 to the Engineer.

Remittances are not refundable. Payment shall be by money order or check and shall be made payable to Butler, Fairman, and Seufert, Inc. Money order or check shall be mailed to Butler, Fairman, and Seufert, Inc. at 8450 Westfield Blvd., Suite 300, Indianapolis,

Indiana 46240. Plan holders must recognize that they will be notified of each addendum via email and will be required to electronically download addendum content via file transfer protocol (FTP) regardless of initial document delivery method chosen.

A copy of the Plans and

Specifications will be available for review by the public at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, at the address stated above, during its regular business hours.

Bids shall be properly and

completely executed on the Bid Forms contained in the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a complete Form No. 96 (2013 revision) and

acceptable Bid Security. Three (3) hard copies and one (1) digital copy in pdf format of all required bid documents shall be submitted.

No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within a period of 60 days following the date set for the receiving of bids. The Owner reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and all bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Owner further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to the Bidder Owner determines to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, all to the advantage of the LAKE

STATION STORMWATER UTILITY BOARD, or to reject all bids

BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the LAKE STATION STORMWATER UTILITY BOARD or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department

Circular 570.

BONDS: A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price will be required from the Contractor to whom the work is awarded.
