ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS Sealed proposals addressed to City of Heath (Owner) will be received at the offices of the Heath Public Works Department, City Hall, 200 Laurence Drive, Heath, Texas 75032, until 2:00 p.m. on October 5, 2021 for furnishing all necessary material, equipment and labor required for the construction of the following project:
COVE RIDGE WATER IMPROVEMENTS
Bids will be publically opened and read at City Hall, beginning at 2:00 P.M. on October 5, 2021 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
The project includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following work: Installation of approximately 2201 LF of 8″ HDPE or PVC water line by bore, 2051 LF of 8″ PVC by open cut, fire hydrant assemblies, valves, long and short services, connections, fittings, along with appurtenances associated with the work. Traffic control and Erosion control is also included. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope externally marked- Cove Ridge Water Improvements.

e. Conditions related to the COVID-19 may impact the reading of the bids.
No bids will be open or considered if received after the specified time. Prequalification is not required. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities and/or to accept the bid or bids deemed best for the City

Bidders must submit with their bids a Cashier’s Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of bid payable without recourse to the Owner or a Bid Bond in the same amount. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish not only a Performance Bond in the amount of the contract, but also a Payment Bond for the protection of all claimants supplying labor and materials and a two-year, 100% Maintenance Bond. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file and may be examined by appointment at the office of the Engineer, Freeman-Millican, Inc. located at 9330 Lyndon B. Johnson Fwy. Suite 1225, Dallas, Texas 75243 and obtained at www.civcastusa.com. All questions are required
to be asked from the CIVCAST website.
