TOWNSHIP OF LOWER MERION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1. Sealed Proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following: Bridge, Culvert, and Ford Repair – Various Locations Contract Number: 4652-21-28 2. Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (www.Pennbid.net). 3. Proposals will be received until August 19, 2021, prevailing time, 11 am at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. 4. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document. 5. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required. 6. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above. 7. Scope of Work The work includes, but is not limited to, debris and vegetation removal; masonry cleaning; selective repointing; selective masonry wall reconstruction; concrete type 1 and type 2 repairs; concrete underpinning; erosion and sediment control measures; temporary stream bypass measures; temporary lane closure along with maintenance of pedestrian and vehicle traffic; and restoration. The locations are: (1) Gray’s Lane Bridge over Mill Creek (zip code 19041); (2) Bowman Avenue Bridge over Indian Creek (zip code 19096); (3) Righter’s Mill Road Ford (zip code 19035); (4) Conshohocken State Road culvert between Henry Lane and Scott Road (zip code 19035); (5) Youngs Ford Road Bridge below Lafayette Road (zip code 19035); and (6) Lafayette Road culvert between Youngs Ford Road and Waverly Road (zip code 19035). 8. Detailed specifications developed by the Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Questionsâ€? feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of August 9, 2021. 9. ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT NOT LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE PAID ON THIS PROJECT, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR, RACE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS CREED, ANCESTRY, AGE, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, OR BECAUSE OF A PERSON’S SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY OR GENDER EXPRESSION. 10.
