BID ADVERTISEMENT Spring City Borough will receive sealed bids for Municipal Parking Lot Improvements electronically via PennBid at www.pennbid.net until 4:00 p.m. (Prevailing Time) on Monday, March 28, 2022, at which time all bids will be opened and results made available within twenty-four hours. All bidding documents are available via PennBid at no cost. A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Spring City Municipal Building. Attendance is strongly encouraged. This is a prevailing wage job. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, gender, creed, color, religion, national origin sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression. Bidder must be PennDOT prequalified as a prime contractor and/or subcontractor with ECMS to perform work Coded: C, C1, F, F1, F2, and K. The construction work will include, but not be limited to: demolition and removal of existing paving, sidewalks, curbing and foundations; providing and installing bituminous paving; block and concrete retaining walls, concrete sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbing; signs; guiderails; lighting; and paint striping; landscaping and other related work. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. The Borough of Spring City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding, when, in the opinion of the Borough, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage. Prior to awarding the Contract, Bids may be held by the Borough for a period not to exceed Sixty-five (65) days from the date of Bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders.
