ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Notice is hereby given by the Board of Supervisors of East Norriton Township, Montgomery County, PA that sealed bids, in duplicate, will be accepted at the office of the Manager at the East Norriton Township Municipal Building, 2501 Stanbridge Street East Norriton, PA 19401 until 11:00 AM prevailing time on April 14, 2022 for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the following: HEROES PARK IMPROVEMENTS The scope of work for this is the improvements to the parking lot which includes reconstruction of certain areas, a minor expansion, milling of the entire area and installation of a new wearing course in accordance with project specifications. Bid specifications and forms are available in the office of the Township Manager, 2501 Stanbridge Street, East Norriton, PA 19401. Bids, which must be submitted in duplicate, will be publicly opened and read aloud at the East Norriton Township Municipal Building, at the above address at 11:15 AM, April 14, 2022. The bid award date will be announced at the bid opening. All bids must be sealed and addressed to East Norriton Township at the above address and be marked “Sealed Bid Specification #2022-02 – Heroes Park Improvementsâ€? on the outside of the envelope. Delivery of all bids to East Norriton Township shall be the sole responsibility of the bidder. Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to James C. Sullivan, PE, the Township’s Director of Engineering Services by email at The bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and the bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to East Norriton Township. All bids must be accompanied by a Surety’s Consent. Said surety is to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor (“Public Works Contractors’ Bond Law of 1967,â€? P.L. 869, 8 P.S. § 191 et seq) & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. Bids may be held for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigation of the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the bid proposal. Prevailing wages will apply to all bids in excess of $25,000. East Norriton Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities, or to take other such action that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Township and as may be permitted by law.
