DOCUMENT 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Borough of Collegeville will receive sealed bids online for the 2023 Borough of Collegeville Paving Program. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until February 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM. The bids shall be opened soon thereafter. All Bid Documents and solicitation details are available on January 23, 2023 at no cost at PennBid™ – www.pennbid.procureware.com. Click on the “Solicitationsâ€? then “Viewâ€? tabs. Please note that PennBid™ charges a fee to the awarded bidder. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will also be held on February 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Collegeville Municipal Building, 491 E. Main Street, Collegeville, PA 19426. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. This project is also subject to Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government’s E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond guaranteeing performance of the contract in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Letters of credit will not be accepted. The Borough of Collegeville reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in the bids.
