ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals for the Accessibility & Connectivity Improvements to the Pottstown Steel River Station will be received by the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Berks (Owner) via PennBid until 11:00 a.m., on March 3, 2023, after which time the bids will be opened online and publicly posted on PennBid. The project will be awarded under One (1) prime contract for platform extensions, stair and ramp systems and paved areas and walkways. Bids must be submitted online via the PennBid program. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at www.PennBid.net Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. The contract is subject to the requirements for affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity. (Executive Order 11246). Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashierâs check, or a bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, as well as a Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the owner. There will be a Pre-bid meeting held on February 16, 2023 at the project site. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
