ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Upper Providence Township will receive sealed bids online for the Ashenfelter Road Culvert Replacement. Sealed bids may be submitted and updated online via the PennBid™ Program until 11:00 AM local time, Tuesday April 13, 2021. The bids shall be opened and made available for viewing on PennBid™ at 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, April 13, 2021. The project includes providing all labor, materials and equipment to complete the removal of the existing culvert and replacing it with a new 10’-6â€? x 5’-7â€? aluminum structural plate box culvert and wingwalls (approximately 36 LF), guiderail improvements, rip rap embankment protection, and roadway resurfacing located in Ashenfelter Road. The project will also include diverting the existing stream around the work area, installing and maintaining erosion and sediment controls, providing maintenance and protection of traffic and restoration of all areas disturbed during the construction of the project. The Township will be directly purchasing the structure, which will be installed by the manufacturer’s installers and placed on concrete foundation also prepared by the manufacturer’s installers. Please note that the low bidder is responsible for a fee to PennBid™. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for the period of days stated in the bid form from the date the bids are opened. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount, thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Lien. The right is reserved to waive any informality in the Bid, to reject any or all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Owner, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The work in this contract shall be paid for in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act No. 442). Timothy J.
