CATERPILLAR To Move World Headquarters To Texas

DEERFIELD, ILLINOIS – Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) announced today that its global headquarters will be relocated from Deerfield, Illinois, to the company’s existing office in Irving, Texas. In 2022, the company will relocate its headquarters to Irving.

Caterpillar has had a presence in Texas since the 1960s, in a variety of capacities. Illinois continues to have the highest concentration of Caterpillar employees anywhere in the world. Detailed information regarding employees was not included in the press release.

Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives, with $51.0 billion in sales and revenues in 2021.
