CITY OF METHUEN MASSACHUSETTS INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT CORROSION INHIBITOR The City of Methuen is seeking bids for Corrosion Inhibitor for the Water Treatment Plant. A copy of the bid package with forms to be used and specifications for bids can be obtained at the City of Methuen, Purchasing Department, Searles Building, 41 Pleasant Street-Room 311, Methuen, MA 01844 between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or by email to Jmkalil@ ci.methuen.ma.us and may call 978-983-8556. The bids must be filled out and signed as directed therein, sealed in an envelope plainly marked “Corrosion Inhibitor – Water Treatment Plant”, addressed to the Office of the City Clerk, Searles Building, 41 Pleasant Street – Room 112, Methuen, MA 01844, and endorsed with the name and address of the bidder. Sealed Bids must be received by the City Clerk no later WEDNESDAY, March 1, 2023 @ 11:00 AM LOCAL TIME. No bid will be considered which is not accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price ­ but no less than twenty five hundred dollars ($2,500) ­ payable to the “City of Methuen”. This bid deposit will become the property of the City if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract. Bids filled out and left with the deposit as above directed, and no other, will, at the above-named hour and place, be publicly opened and read aloud. The City of Methuen reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding if it is deemed to be in the best interest for the City to do so. No Bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of bids.
