CRACK SEAL

TOWN OF SHREWSBURY Sealed bids are requested by the Town Manager for CRACK SEAL for various Town departments for requirements for one (1) year ending June 30, 2022. Specifications and quantities required may be obtained at the Highway Division Office, Municipal Office Building, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts 01545. All bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Town. All bids shall be sealed and appropriately marked “Crack Seal”. Bids will be received the office of the Town Manager in the Richard D. Carney Municipal Office Building, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. All bids must meet the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Works Standard Specifications for Highways, Bridges and Waterways (2020). All contractors involved with Crack Seal shall be pre-qualified through the Massachusetts Department of Public Works, as portions of these funds are State “Chapter 90 Funds.” Contractors may be pre-qualified at the Massachusetts Department of Public Works, Room 7552, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, Massachusetts 02116. Each contractor bidding on Crack Seal must submit with its bid a bid deposit equal to five percent (5%) of the amount bid. Attention is called to minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Department of Labor Standards under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive.
