Final Demand Construction Advances 6.6%
Washington, D.C. – The Final Demand Construction Index advanced 6.6%. Producer prices for final demand in the United States increased 0.8 percent from a month earlier in November 2021, the most since July and higher than market expectations of 0.5 percent, raising concerns about inflationary pressures in the world’s largest economy.
Over 60% of the October increase can be attributed to a 1.2 percent increase in final demand goods prices. Also, the index for final demand services moved up 0.2 percent being carried by Final Demand Construction.
