Formal bids will be received through the Bonfire website located at https://www.thecolonytx.gov/366/Bidder- Registration until 2:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, March 8, 2023. There is no fee for registering or bidding on this project through Bonfire. If hand-delivered, submit bids at City of The Colony, 6800 Main Street, The Colony, Texas 75056-1133.

PRE-BID AT 10:00 A.M., WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2023, AT 6800 MAIN STREET, THE COLONY, TEXAS. ALTHOUGH NOT MANDATORY, BIDDERS STRONGLY URGED TO ATTEND THE PRE-BID. ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS DUE TO NON-ATTENDANCE WILL NOT BE REASON FOR LETTING A BIDDER OUT OF THE BID.

The scope of work consists of pavement and waterline replacement. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization, removal, and installation of approximately 7,021 S.Y. of full-width 7-inch reinforced concrete pavement along Squire Drive (from Squires Drive to Taylor Street), approximately 2,993 L.F. of 8-inch waterline along Squires Drive, from Squires Drive to Underwood Drive approximately 159 L.F. to extend the Vaden Street 8- inch waterline to Taylor Street and any other work deemed necessary by the City of The Colony. The opinion of probable construction cost for the overall project is $2,713,000.00. All of the above done in accordance with City of The Colony and NCTCOG specifications with the City’s Addenda and as per instructions of the City Engineer. All construction sequencing and barricading done according to the city standards.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of amount bid from a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, within fifteen (15) days of the bid award.

The bidder must submit, prior to the bid opening time, proof of insurance to Purchasing Manager (cdelossantos@thecolonytx.gov). Originals submitted in the bid packet OR received before bid opening by the Purchasing Manager
. The winning bidder, upon City acceptance, will be required to provide the City with a minimum two (2) year maintenance bond. The maintenance bond shall be in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or ten (10%) percent of the amount of the contract, whichever is greater, but not to exceed one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount.

City of The Colony reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept the bid, which in its discretion, is in the best interest of the City of The Colony.
