INVITATION FOR BIDS SEALED PROPOSALS will be received by the Wilkes-Barre Area School District at their Administrative Offices located at 730 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18711, until 11:00 AM (prevailing time) on Thursday, April 22, 2021 for: Heights Murray Elementary School Switchboard Replacement Project located at 1 South Sherman Street, Wilkes Barre, PA 18702. In general, this project consists of a single prime contract as follows: Contract No. 01 – Electrical The Bid Documents may be obtained in electronic format, by contacting the Construction Manager, Apollo Group, Inc., 601 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704 at 570-714-2431. Each bidder shall be responsible at their own expense to download and print the Bid Documents. Only firms that have registered with the Construction Manager, will receive addenda during the bid phase. Cut-off date for issuance of Bid Documents to prospective Bidders will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM. All inquiries pertaining to the Bid Documents shall be directed to Michael Krzywicki, P.E., Project Manager, Apollo Group, Inc. Questions shall be submitted in writing via email to: A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the project site. All Prime Contracts in excess of $25,000 are subject to the provisions, duties, obligations, remedies and penalties of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442), effective February 1, 1962. All Firm Lump Sum Bid Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud, and the bidders are invited to attend.
