INVITATION FOR BIDS The City of Newburyport invites qualifed Vendors to submit bids for the Water System Maintenance “Valve Turning Project” Newburyport MA 01950 in accordance with the IFB and Contract Agreement (#2022-001-WATER-844233). The Scope of Work includes a maintenance contract performed in two phases with the contractor furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and insurance to fulfll the Agreement in approximately four months. Phase One requires the vendor to perform work required for the maintenance of approximately 900 Gate valves throughout the City of Newburyport’s water distribution system. Phase 2 is for the repair and replacement of rounded or defcient valve operating nuts without excavation. The number of valves to be repaired will be determined after phase one of this project is complete. This project is being Electronically Bid (E-Bid). Bid Deadline: 1:00 PM, July 22, 2021 All bids for this project are subject to the applicable bidding laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to, MGL Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended; Prevailing Wages; OSHA Certifcation; a 5% bid deposit and a 50% Payment bond, if awarded. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a Bid Bond, or Certifed Check issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the total bid price. The estimated value of this contract is $100,000. There are no fled subbids for this project. The City of Newburyport reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
