INVITATION FOR BIDS Zerbe Township will receive sealed bids for the West Trevorton Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project at the Municipal Building until 5:30 p.m., prevailing time on July 12, 2021. Bids will then be opened and publicly read aloud. Work generally consists of the furnishing and installation of approximately 2,465 lineal feet of 8 sewer CIPP liner to rehabilitate ten (10) gravity sewer main lines, cleaning of the sewer lines, root cutting, bypass pumping and pre and post CCTV inspections. Contractor will verify all pipe sizes and existing manhole inverts prior to all installations. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer; KPI Technology, 200 South Second Street, Sunbury, PA (570-286-3176) for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 or examined free of charge at the Office of the Engineer and/or Authority. A pre-bid conference will be held at 3:00 PM on June 24, 2021 at the Municipal Building located at 800 Mahanoy Street, Trevorton, PA 17881. Attendance at this meeting is not mandatory but highly encouraged. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The Bid Security shall be made payable to the Zerbe Township, Northumberland County, PA. All Bid Bonds must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney or suitable letter of commitment from a licensed surety company as described in the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. Bids may be held by the OWNER for up to 60 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The contract for work under this Bid will obligate the Contractor, and any Subcontractors, not to discriminate in employment practices and to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and any other such Federal and State requirements presented in bid documents. The Owner reserves the right, at its option, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all Bid Proposals, as the Owner may deem to be in its best interest.
