TOWN OF SOUTHINGTON, CONNECTICUTADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the âTown of Southington, Plantsville Pump Station Rehabilitation Project 2021-01â? will be received at the Southington Town Hall, Office of the Town Manager, 75 Main Street, Southington, CT 06489 until Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11:00 am, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as âTown of Southington, Plantsville Pump Station Rehabilitation Project 2021-01.â?The work consists of replacing a dry pit wastewater pump station with a prepackaged precast concrete submersible type pump station, installation of outdoor generator, electrical enclosures, and site features, and demolition of an above-grade building and wet well. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically from the Tighe & Bond website at: http://www.tighebond.com/Projects_Out_to_Bid.phpProspective bidders must complete a one-time registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the âplanholdersâ? or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. Bidding documents will not otherwise be available for examination at other locations.A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, in the form of a certified check or a bid bond, on form provided in Section 00430 of the Project Manual, for 10% of the amount of the bid, to accompany each proposal. The Town of Southington reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Performance and Payment bonds, in the full amount of the Contract price, will be required of the Successful Bidder.Bidders shall be Department of Administrative Services (DAS) pre-qualified under the category of âWater Treatment Plantsâ? under C.G.S. 4b-91 as amended. Bidders are advised that both the DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must accompany the Bid proposal for projects estimated to exceed $500,000.
