TOWN OF EAST LONGMEADOW- DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS – EAST LONGMEADOW , MASSACHUSETTS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the “2021 Manhole Sealing Project” will be received by the Town of East Longmeadow Department of Public Works at the Town Hall, Department of Public Works Office, 60 Center Square, 2nd Floor, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 7, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “2021 Manhole Sealing Project.” The work consists of chemically sealing and applying an interior cementitious water-proof coating to approximately 165 vertical feet of existing manholes within the East Longmeadow wastewater collection system. The work also includes providing a chimney seal for each manhole to be rehabilitated. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically from the Tighe & Bond website at: http://www .ti ghebond.com/Projects_O ut_to_Bid.php Prospective bidders must complete a one-time registration process on the web site in order to receive log-in credentials. Bidders must log in to the web site to download bidding documents for the project. Bidders will be added to the “planholders” or prospective bidders list upon downloading the bidding documents for the project. Bidding documents may also be examined at the office of Tighe & Bond, Inc., 53 Southampton Road, Westfield, Massachusetts between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, legal holidays excluded. A bid deposit shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
