DEMOLITION OF BUILDINGS AT WESTFIELD BARNES REGIONAL AIRPORT BID 21-026 CITY OF WESTFIELD WESTFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the General Contract for the Demolition of Buildings located at Westfield Barnes Regional Airport in Westfield, MA will be received by the City of Westfield at City of Westfield, Purchasing Department, 59 Court Street, Westfield, Massachusetts 01085 until 3:00 PM, prevailing time, May 20, 2021, and at that time and place will then be publicly opened over Zoom and recorded. The work of this Contract includes: Complete demolition and removal of the two barns at the Airport. Bid Documents will be available; all bidders must contact the Purchasing Department for document-572-6254; t.tefft@cityofwestfield.org or n.reynolds@cityofwstfield.org. No printed copies of the documents will be available. Each General Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 50 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Wage rates for this Project are subject to minimum wage rates as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44J of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in their best interest.
