INVITATION TO BID FM 691 WATER LINE FROM DRIGGS DR. TO PRESTON RD. SEALED BIDS for the purpose of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performance of all work required in the construction of FM 691 Water Line From Driggs Dr. to Preston Rd. and other improvements incidental thereto, in the City of Denison (“City”), Texas will be received until 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, by the City of Denison, 300 W. Main Street, Denison, Texas 75020, at which time in the Council Chambers the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud and retained by the City for tabulation, checking and evaluation. The project involves the construction of approximately 230 linear feet of 20-inch diameter PVC water line, 8,300 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC water line, and 500 linear feet of 10-inch diameter and smaller PVC water line with associated appurtenances by open-cut within the City of Denison, Texas. The project also includes one pressure reducing valve within a concrete vault, approximately 570 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC water line and 60 linear feet of 10-inch diameter PVC water line with associated appurtenances by other than open cut. The additional alternate project involves the construction of approximately 10,900 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC water line and 70 linear feet of 6-inch diameter PVC water line with associated appurtenances by open-cut, and approximately 860 linear feet of 12-inch diameter PVC water line with associated appurtenances by other than open cut. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank form of proposal furnished. Main Street Denison, TX 75020 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS and contract documents may be obtained via civcastusa.com beginning October 3, 2021. The documents may also be examined without charge at the office of Public Works, 300 West Main Street, Denison, TX 75020. Copies of such instruments may be obtained from the office of Teague, Nall, and Perkins, Inc., 825 Watters Creek Boulevard, Suite M300, Allen, Texas 75013 upon a non-refundable deposit of $50 per set. (TNP office hours: Monday – Friday – 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.). A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the Denison Council Chambers located at 300 W Main Street, Denison, Texas 75020. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. Engineer will provide to prospective Bidders of Record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to discussions or inquiries arising at the conference. The City reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in any proposal. The City also reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to award contracts for individual products or services as may appear advantageous, and to negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve the best interest of the City. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date on which bids are opened. The contractor is required to fill out and notarize the Certificate of Interested Parties Form 1295 and the form must be submitted to the City before the contract will be presented to the City Council.
