Mayberry Township Board of Supervisors are requesting sealed bids for the services required for the: EAST SLEEPY HOLLOW ROAD AND CULVER IMPROVEMENTS.
Major work items include (approximate quantities): Maintenance and protection of traffic during construction (LS), Remove existing pipe and install of 38 linear feet of 24” diameter pipe at Station 0+00, total of 180 linear feet of 15” diameter pipe at stations 1+00, 4+00, 6+40, 8+55, 10+55, 13+05. Remove 15” diameter pipe at 6+40. Place 12” depth 2A Aggregate from station 0+00 to 8+55. Endwalls and Headwalls are to be stacked stone headwalls per PA Dirt and Gravel Road Standards.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for this project on July 21, 2021, 1:00 p.m. prevailing time at the Montour County Conservation District office located at 1210 Bloom Rd., Danville, PA. All bidders desiring to attend must inform the engineer a minimum of one business day prior to the meeting by email to axtmanengineering@gmail.com.
The material and workmanship shall be in accordance with Standard Specifications of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) Publication 408/2016 and all supplements thereto.
Bids will be received by Mayberry Township until 9:00 a.m. prevailing time on July 28, 2021, at the Township Office, 162 High Road, Catawissa, PA 17820. All Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Bid Proposal for East Sleepy Hollow Road and Culver Improvements” and accompanied by a certified check drawn on a bank authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or a Bid Bond with corporate surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid made payable to or in favor of Mayberry Township. A completed AntiCollusion Affidavit must be included in the submission. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 7:00 p.m. on August 2, 2021 at the Mayberry Township Board of Supervisors meeting held at 162 High Road, Catawissa, PA 17820. The work is to be substantially completed by October 1, 2021 with Final completion by October 15, 2021.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and a Maintenance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Total Bid.
Notice is given that this work is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961. Appropriate prevailing minimum wages must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work.
