INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that bids will be received by the Archbald Borough, 400 Church Street, Archbald, Pennsylvania 18403 until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 for the 2022 Archbald Borough Streets Paving Project. The project includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, and oversight for mobilization, roadway restoration, milling and overlay, installation of new curbing, underdrain, topsoil, seeding, and maintenance and protection of traffic. Sealed bids will be opened at the Archbald Borough’s office at the above-mentioned address and referred to Borough Council for final award/approval. Bidders and other interested parties may attend the bid opening, which will be held at the regularly scheduled Archbald Borough Council meeting on December 15, 2021 at 7:00 P.M.. Contract documents and drawings may be obtained through the office of the Engineer, Barry Isett & Associates, Inc.; 1170 Highway 315, Suite 3, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702; 570-285-8200; between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Hard copy sets may be purchased for a non-refundable charge of $75.00. The check for the bidding documents should be made payable to Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. The documents may be sent via Fed-Ex, upon request, with a supplied Fed-Ex account number or an additional non-refundable charge in the amount of $50.00. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond in the about of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, plainly marked on the outside “2022 Archbald Borough Streets Paving Project” and mailed or delivered to Archbald Borough before the hour and date specified above. All Bidders must be PENNDOT Prequalified as a Prime Contractor for work associated with this contract. PA Prevailing wages will apply to this contract. Archbald Borough reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions or to waive any informalities in bidding and to withhold award for a period of sixty days.
