Invitation to Bid: Road Improvements 2021 The Town of Southbridge is seeking bids for improvements to several roads, including pavement milling, asphalt paving, asphalt patching, and related items.
Bid specifications may be obtained by e-mailing Yvonne Tortis at the Town Manager’s Office at ytortis@southbridgemass.org or calling 508-764-5405. Documents are only available electronically.
Bids will be received at the Southbridge Town Hall, 41 Elm St, Southbridge, MA 01550, c/o Town Manager’s Office on or before Tuesday June 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM, no exceptions. Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be clearly marked “Bid – Road Improvements 2021” and must be delivered to the Town Manager’s Office at the address provided above. One original and two copies shall be submitted. No faxed proposals will be accepted. Bids will be opened at that time.
The bidder will provide a 5% bid deposit with bid.
No formal pre-bid meeting will be held, but bidders can schedule a time to meet on site to review the project areas by contacting the Town Engineer, Matthew Desjardin, at 508-764-5403 x3.
The Town of Southbridge reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality contained therein, and to award the contract as decided to be in the best interest of the Town.
