INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids will be received by the Lackawanna River Basin Sewer Authority for Contract 21-3, Archbald WWTP Blower Silencer and M.O.V. Installation, Lackawanna County. Bids will be received by the Authority at the Authority’s office, Rear 145 Boulevard Avenue, Throop, PA 18512 until 6:00 P.M., Local Prevailing Time, August 9, 2021, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Work shall consist of installation of four (4) positive-displacement aeration blower intake silencers, and six (6) aeration tank motor operated butterfly valves. Blower silencers and motor operated valves will be Owner supplied. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Archbald wastewater treatment plant, 104 Delaware Street, Jermyn, PA 18433, at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 22, 2021. Bid documents may be reviewed at the office of the Lackawanna River Basin Sewer Authority. Bids will only be received from interested parties who have registered a request and received bid documents from the Owner. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified bank treasurers check, certified cashiers check or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty (60) days after opening unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, in which case the bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978.
