LOWER ALLEN TOWNSHIP

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE OF BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES

The Board of Commissioners of Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011, will accept sealed bid proposals until 11:00 a.m., prevailing time, April 22, 2022, for the following:

Landscape Maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMP’s)

The Project generally consists of Maintenance of the BMP’s located in several locations throughout the Township. Maintenance shall consist of, weed and debris removal, plant replacement, edging, mulching, pruning, and structure cleaning, general plant-health care (insecticide, and Fungicide, etc.) as needed.

The Contractor shall develop their landscape maintenance plan for the designated bid items as listed. The plan shall incorporate the three seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall). Plant replacement, if warranted, shall be in accordance with the site design or substituted with approval from the Director of Public Works.

All bid proposals shall be properly executed in ink without alterations and shall be complete. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10 %) of the bid. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at no cost from the offices of Lower Allen Township at the address above from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, and on the Township website: www.latwp.org. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid price.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on April 13, 2022, 9 a.m. at the Lower Allen Township Municipal Services Building, 2233 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011, Room 156, (Gorgas Hall).

Bid Proposals will be opened at 11:15 a.m. on April 22, 2022, at the offices of Lower Allen Township. Unless all bids are rejected, the lowest responsible bidder may be selected at a public meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held April 25, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the offices of Lower Allen Township noted above.

If the anticipated project cost is at least $25,000, Pennsylvania prevailing wages under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act will be required.

The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Township.
