Nassau BOCES will be closed April 1st and 2nd. If the Governor extends Executive Order 202.11, this will be a non-public bid opening. If Executive Order 202.11 is not extended, the opening will be a public bid opening at the address above.Complete digital sets of Bidding Documents, Drawings and Specifications, may be obtained online as a download for Forty Nine Dollars and 00 cents ($49.00) at the following website: www.h2mprojects.com under ‘public projects’ beginning 4:00 pm prevailing time on Wednesday March 10th, 2021.
Complete, hard copy, sets of Bidding Documents, Drawings and Specifications, may be obtained from Rev, 330 Route 17A, Suite #2, Goshen, New York 10924 Tel: 1-877-272-0216, upon depositing the sum of One Hundred Dollars and 00 cents ($100.00) for each set of documents. Certified checks or money orders shall be made payable to Nassau BOCES Bidders deposit will be refunded if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Non-bidders shall receive partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the amount of the deposit, less the actual cost of reproduction of the documents if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Deposits will not be refunded unless the original receipt issued by Nassau BOCES is presented at the time of return. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs.
All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at www.h2mprojects.com.
Plan holders who have paid for hard copies of the bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use and coordinate directly with the printer for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies of the bid addenda.
Any Person or corporation proposing to submit a bid must take out a minimum of one (1) set of plans and specifications. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: NASSAU BOCES and clearly marked on the outside: Bid# 21/22-015. Bids must be received by Nassau BOCES prior to the time indicated for bid opening. Bidders wishing to mail their bids may send it to the address listed above.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to NASSAU BOCES, in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid.
A pre-bid meeting and walk thru is scheduled for March 22, 2021 at 3:30 P.M. Potential bidders are asked to gather at the Rosemary Kennedy Center upper main entrance (Jerusalem Road) located at 2850 North Jerusalem Road, Wantagh, New York. Although not mandatory, itis highly recommended that all potential bidders attend. The latest NYS DOH guidelines for gatherings will be observed. Social distancing and mask wearing will be mandatory.
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals, subject however, to the discretionary right reserved by Nassau BOCES to waive any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals if, in its opinion, the best interest of Nassau BOCES will thereby be promoted. No bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. Thereafter, a bidder may withdraw his Bid only in writing and in advance of the actual award except in accordance with New York GML 103(11).
