NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, State of New York invites Sealed Proposals with respect to the award of:
OLD BETHPAGE SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL COMPLEX TRUCK SCALE REPLACEMENT OLD BETHPAGE,
NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK CONTRACT

Said proposals are to be received and stamped by the Division of Purchase and Supply of the Town of Oyster Bay at Town Hall West, 74 Audrey Avenue, 4TH Floor, Oyster Bay, New York, 11771-1592, not later than 10:30 A.M., prevailing time on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, and, thereafter, all proposals will be publicly opened at 11:00 A.M. and read in the area as designated at Town Hall. Capacity will be limited. All attendees must wear masks and remain socially distant.
The bid opening will also be livestreamed and can be viewed at http://oysterbaytown.com/doing-business-with-the-town/. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.
Contract documents are available for review and procurement at the Division of Purchase and Supply of the Town of Oyster Bay at Town Hall West, 74 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, New York, 11771-1592, on or after Monday, March 15, 2021, between the hours 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., on regular business days, Monday through Friday. A charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) payable to the Town of Oyster Bay, non-refundable, will be required for the set of contract documents. In submitting a proposal hereunder, a Contractor is required to comply with all applicable provisions of Federal, State and Local Laws.
A Contractor’s site walk-through will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2:00pm to allow prospective Contractors to view the facility and existing systems. The site walk-through is not mandatory, but Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend. Please limit attendance to one representative of any firm. All attendees will be required to wear a safety vest and face mask.
In accordance with Section 220 of the New York Labor Law, all public works contracts in excess of $250,000.00 require that all laborers, workers and mechanics working on the site be certified as having successfully completed the OSHA 10-hour construction safety and health course.
Subject to the foregoing, the availability of funds, and prevailing lawful requirements, the Town will award the contract to the lowest responsible qualified bidder.
