Notice to Bidders and Newspaper Advertisement
The State University of New York at Stony Brook University Hospital will receive sealed bids for project number 20/21-002 titled Hospital Curtain Wall Renovations until 11:00 a.m. local time on June 10th, 2021 at Stony Brook University Hospital Purchasing Department 2000 Ocean Ave. Suite 1 Ronkonkoma, NY 11779, where such proposals will be virtually publicly opened and read aloud using Microsoft Teams.
All work on this Contract is to be completed within 1459 calendar days, starting ten (10) calendar days after the contract approval date of the New York State Comptroller.
Due to COVID-19 Bidding and Contract Documents will not be able to be viewed at SUNY Stony Brook. The documents may be examined free of charge at the following plan room location.

Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding may be obtained free of charge from Patricia Firman, Stony Brook University Hospital Purchasing, at Patricia.Firman@Stonybrook.edu . Documents will only be provided to potential bidders electronically via e-mail for this project. This will allow for inclusion on the Project’s Plan Holders List and direct receipt of any Addenda and/or Clarifications that may be issued. Bids submitted by contractors who have obtained forms in any other manner will be considered informal.
For additional information pertaining to this Invitation for Bid (IFB), it is advised that all interested bidders retrieve the New York State Contract Reporter Advertisement Ad ID#2074734 for this solicitation via web site https://www.nyscr.ny.gov/
Bidders Conference – A Pre-Bid Tele/Video Conference will be held on 5/04/2021 at 11:00 AM via Microsoft Teams. Interested contractors must RSVP their intent to attend the scheduled Pre-Bid Tele/Video Conference to: Patricia.Firman@stonybrook.edu no later than 12:00 noon two (2) days before the scheduled conference. Upon receipt, contractors will receive a confirmation which will include access to the bid package documents, as well as the telephone and login/link information needed to attend the meeting. If you plan on calling in only, it is recommended that you have the IFB and Project Manual Documents downloaded and available to you for reference during the conference. Site visits will be afforded to those who are interested in attending on 5/05/2021 at 10:00 am and 1:00 PM. Meeting place OUTSIDE the front doors of the Main Hospital entrance (by valet booth).
Bids must be submitted in triplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
