INVITATION TO BIDDERS
TOWN OF ISLIP AFFORDABLE HOUSING CORP.
PUBLIC NOTICE: is hereby given for sealed bids for: Multi-Site HVAC Replacements at Ockers Gardens, Penataquit Village and Allyn P. Robinson Village. Bids will be received by the Town of Islip Affordable Housing Corp., on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time in the Administration Office, 963 Montauk Highway, Oakdale, NY 11769, and at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the Town of Islip Housing Authority’s Administration Office, 963 Montauk Highway, Oakdale, NY 11769 (631) 589-7100 between 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday beginning on Monday, May 3, 2021 and may be obtained upon a deposit of One Hundred ( 100.00) Dollars for each complete set. Checks for deposits shall be made payable to the OWNER, “Town of Islip Affordable Housing Corp” and may be uncertified. The bid deposit will be returned upon receipt of plans and specifications, in good condition, within thirty days after bid date, except for the lowest responsible bidder, whose check will be forfeited upon the award of the contract.
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder(s) or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals. Bids shall be subject, however, to the discretionary right reserved by the Owner to waive any informalities in, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals and to advertise for new proposals, if in its opinion the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
Consistent with federal mandates, bids are solicited from any and all parties including but not limited to minority businesses and enterprises operated and conducted by women. Bidders will be required to sign and submit, with their bid, the non-collusive bidding certificate.
Each bidder may not withdraw his bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. A bidder may withdraw his bid only in writing and prior to the bid opening date.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for Monday, May 17, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. in the Community Room located at Allyn Robinson Village, 600 Allyn Drive, Central Islip, NY.
