Legal Notice CITY OF MILFORD Office of the Purchasing Agent 70 West River Street – Milford, CT 06460 Tel (203) 783-3225 INVITATION TO BID Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Wastewater Pumping Station Upgrades No. 1: Various Locations will be received by the Purchasing Agent at the Parsons Government Complex (Door No. 5), 70 West River Street, Milford, CT, until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2023, when they will be opened by the Purchasing Agent and results posted to the Milford website bid portal by the evening. The scope of work for this project consists of modifications to five (5) wastewater pumping stations within the City of Milford, at the locations listed below. The modifications generally consist of the replacement of wastewater pumps, precast concrete valve chambers, piping, pump controls, replacement generators, site work, and related work as indicated on the contract documents. The five pumping stations are: 1) Sailors Lane Pump Station – 25 Sailors Lane 2) Old Gate Lane Pump Station – 332 Old Gate Lane 3) New Haven Ave Pump Station – 705 New Haven Ave 4) Watrous Lane Pump Station. – 43 Watrous Lane 5) Live Oaks Pump Station – 85 Live Oaks Road Plans and Specifications for this project will only be available on the City of Milford website at www.ci.milford.ct.us, on or after Friday 1/20/2023, Click on City Departments, select Purchasing then Current Bids to view or download the documents. Printed specifications will not be offered for sale for this project. Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who have been Pre-qualified for construction of sewers and related work in the City of Milford for the calendar year 2023. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total bid is required and must accompany each proposal. Bids must be held firm for 90 days. The successful bidder must file a 100% Performance Bond, a 100% Labor and Materials Bond, and Certificate of Insurance on notice of Contract award. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part thereof, waives defects in same, or accept any proposal deemed to be in the City’s best interest. A pre-bid conference will be held on 9:00 am Thursday 1/26/2023. at the Housatonic WWTP, 1255 Oronoque Road, Milford, CT, followed by a site visit to each pumping station. Bidders’ attention is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, minimum state wage rates/prevailing wages to be paid, and payroll submission requirements under the contract.
