LEGAL NOTICE CITY OF NANTICOKE 15 East Ridge Street Nanticoke, PA 18634 Sealed bids will be received by The City of Nanticoke, 15 East Ridge Street, Nanticoke, PA until 2:00 o’clock PM, prevailing time, on the 23rd day of July 2021, at the Municipal Offices. 2020 SEWER AND STORM WATER IMPROVEMENTS 1. The first project involves the reconstruction of approximately 569 linear feet of sanitary sewer, new manholes and lateral tie ins in the alley off Fairchild Street. The work includes but is not limited to excavation, removal of existing sewer line and proper disposal, new sanitary sewer (in existing trench), lateral connections, back fill and trench restoration and all materials, labor and equipment necessary for a complete installation. 2. The second project is the installation of 2 new inlets and approximately 96 linear feet of storm sewer in E. Noble Street at the intersection with Chestnut St. The work includes but is not limited to excavation, new inlets and storm sewer, back fill and trench restoration and all materials, labor and equipment necessary for a complete installation. Paper sealed bids shall be submitted to the municipality at the above address. All documents and solicitation details are available at the municipality at no cost. Plans and specifications are on file and open to public inspection at the offices of the Owner, address listed above. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled, but prospective bidders are urged to familiarize themselves with the site and review the scope of work and construction documents. The limits of work are marked out in white paint. Any contractor who does not do so and submits a bid does so at his own risk. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids. PA Labor wage rates apply to this contract. There are no MBE/WBE requirements for this project. A Project Labor Agreement is in effect for this project.
