LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Luzerne County will receive sealed bids per specifications for: Walp Road over Nescopeck Creek Bridge, Luzerne County, including removal of the existing bridge superstructure and substructures and replacement with a new prestressed concrete spread box beam superstructure with a composite concrete deck supported by cast-in-place integral abutments founded on steel piles. Approach guide rail will be installed, and approach roadwork will be conducted. Stone filling will also be installed at the abutments for scour protection. Bids shall be received online via the PennBid program until April 29, 2021 at 5:00PM. No bids will be accepted after 5:00pm on April 29, 2021. Bids will be announced on April 30, 2021 at 10:30am. Bids will be publicly opened on PennBid and read aloud at the office of Luzerne County Purchasing, County Purchasing, 20 N. Pennsylvania Ave, Penn Place Suite 203, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 at 10:30 AM (Prevailing Time) on Friday, April 30, 2021. The contract documents are available on PennBid at no cost. Technical questions regarding the plans and specifications should be submitted on PennBid by Friday, April 23, 2021 @ 5:00 PM. Each BID must be accompanied by a BID bond payable to the OWNER for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. The Non-Collusive Bidding Certification must accompany each bid.
