LEGAL NOTICE On-Call Sidewalk Installation & Repair SOUTHINGTON, CONNECTICUT INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids for On-Call Sidewalk Installation and Repair will be received at the Southington Town Hall, Office of the Town Manager, 75 Main Street, until Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. after which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work will be broken into two parts. Part 1 shall consist of the removal and installation of new concrete sidewalks. Part 2 shall consist of sidewalk paver reset/repair/replacement. Both Parts 1 and 2 will be on an on-call basis as directed by the Director of Public Works at various locations in the Town of Southington. Bidders may bid on either or both parts. The bids for each part will be evaluated independently and may be awarded to different bidders. The work described above includes furnishing, installing and incorporating all materials and equipment into the project as well as performing or providing all labor, supervision, equipment, and services unless otherwise noted within the bid documents. The Town of Southington hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and that they will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex, in consideration for this award. Contract documents for the above project may be reviewed at the Southington Engineering Office located at the Municipal Center, 196 North Main Street Southington. Copies of the contract documents may be obtained on the Town of Southington””‘s website, www.southington.org as well as on the State of Connecticut Portal. All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the Contractor shall employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in the carrying out of this work as will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor.
