BID NOTICE AVONDALE BOROUGH, CHESTER COUNTY Avondale Borough (“Boroughâ€?) is soliciting sealed bids for its municipal refuse collection and recycling for a term of three (3) years, beginning April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2026. All Bids are to be sealed, must be received by the Borough, at the Borough Hall, no later than 1:00 P.M., prevailing time, Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The Borough Hall is located at 110 Pomeroy Avenue in the Borough and the Borough’s mailing address is: Avondale Borough Hall 110 Pomeroy Avenue P.O. Box 247 Avondale, PA 19311 All bids timely received will be opened and read in public at 1:05 P.M., prevailing time, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the Borough Hall. Detailed specifications and requirements for bidding may be obtained at the Borough Hall Monday – Thursday between 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. and Fridays between 7 A.M. and 1 P.M., prevailing time. Paper copies are available at the cost of $20.00, plus $2.00 for mailing (check or money order only). Copies in PDF format are also available by electronic mail at no cost. Requests for copies should be addressed to the Borough Secretary at the Borough Hall or by electronic mail to: administrator@avondaleboro.net. Each sealed bid must be accompanied by a cashier’s check, bank check or proposal bond in the amount of $5,000.00, drawn to the order of the Avondale Borough, as security that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will provide the requisite insurance and performance bond and execute the contract, all as anticipated by the bid documents. Recommendations for the award of bids will be made at Avondale Borough Council’s regular meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, which meeting will commence at 7:00 P.M., prevailing time, at the Avondale Borough Hall. AVONDALE BOROUGH COUNCIL SPECIFICALLY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS AND TO WAIVE ALL INFORMALITIES NOT INVOLVING PRICE, PERFORMANCE ABILITY OR BOND TERMS.
