PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Sadsbury, Chester County, Pennsylvania, until 4:30 PM local prevailing time, on Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Sadsbury Township Municipal Building, 2920 Lincoln Highway, Sadsburyville, Pennsylvania 19369. At 10:00 AM on Monday, June 28, 2021, at that same location, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the collection of municipal waste and recyclables for a term of one (1) year, two (2) years, three (3) years, four (4) years and/or five (5) years. These bids shall include the provision of 90-99 gallon waste toter carts and the provision of 90-99 gallon recyclable toter carts. Contract Documents and Specifications may be examined and obtained without charge at the Sadsbury Township Municipal Building, 2920 Lincoln Highway, Sadsburyville, Pennsylvania on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, or by e-mailing lshank@sadsburytwp.org. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the Township and accompanied by a Certified Check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total lump bid for all five (5) years. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for the opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond or other surety, to be in force for the length of the contract, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award for a one (1) year contract, eighty percent (80%) of the contract award for a two (2) year contract, sixty percent (60%) of the contract award for a three (3) year contract, forty percent (40%) of the contract award for a four (4) year contract or twenty percent (20%) of the contract award for a five (5) year contract. The Board of Supervisors of Sadsbury Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any defects and/or irregularities in any bid and to make any award in any manner consistent with applicable laws, which is in the best interest of the Township.
