NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: 1. Chester Township Police Locker Room Renovations 2. Chester Township Street Lighting Maintenance and Repair Contract Public notice is given that sealed bids/proposals will be received by the Township of Chester by Wednesday, August 4, 2021 until 2:00 PM prevailing time at 1150 Engle Street, Chester, PA. Plans, specifications, information for bidders and forms for proposals may be obtained or examined at TOWNSHIP OF CHESTER 1150 ENGLE STREET, CHESTER, PA 19013 Bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least $20,000 ( 10 %) of the total price bid made payable to the Owner. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfac¬tory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The Bidder’s attention is called to the fact that the Police Locker Room Renovations are assisted with Department of Community and Economic Development Funding and various State requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to the PA-Prevailing Wage Act. There will be a Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for the Chester Township Police Locker Room Renovations on July 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM. The meeting will be held at the Police Department, which is located at 1840 Harris Street, Chester, PA 19013. Award of Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept any portion of any bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Township.
