INVITATION FOR BIDS Notice to Contractors for RENOVATIONS TO LOBBY AND MEETING ROOM for Franconia Township, 671 Allentown Road, Telford, Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania 18969-2205. The project includes the construction renovation of the existing lobby, meeting room, and restroom areas, containing approximately 2,300 square feet, located at 671 Allentown Road, Telford, Franconia Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania 18969-2205. Detailed drawings and specifications may be examined at the Franconia Township Administration Building, located at 671 Allentown Road, Telford, PA 18969-2205. The project will be bid on Pennbid. Sealed electronic bids will be received by Franconia Township on its PennBid site, up until Wednesday, 15 September 2021, 1:00 P.M., local prevailing time at which time Bids will be electronically opened. All bids must include prices to be considered for award by the Franconia Township Board of Supervisors at their option after the review of the bid amounts. Only bids submitted by contractors that have registered to bid the project will be accepted. Prospective Bidders should go PennBid. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, made payable to or in favor of the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance and maintenance bond and a satisfactory payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Workers employed under this contract must be paid prevailing minimum wage rates subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, 43 P.S. Section 165 et seq. Bidders are advised that all applicable revisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Public Law 91-596 dated December 29, 1970, latest revision) shall be strictly adhered to on this project. A Certification of Non-Collusion under the Pennsylvania Anti-Bid Rigging Act must be submitted with the proposal. A Pre-bid meeting conducted by the Owner, and Lederach Architecture, LLC will be held on Wednesday, 1 of September 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at the Franconia Township Administration Building, located at 671 Allentown Road, Telford, PA 18969-2250. Any General Contractor intending to submit a Bid for this project is required to attend.
