ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the Township of Towamencin online via PennBid™ – www.PennBid.net until 10:00 A.M. prevailing time on Thursday, October 7, 2021 for: Towamencin Township Skippack Creek Interceptor Televising & Investigation Project Contract 21-03 This project involves the televising and investigation of a portion of the Skippack Creek Interceptor (SCI), which includes 15 & 18 inch in diameter gravity sewer main and is approximately 7,100 linear feet in length, from Hatfield Township border to where the SCI crosses beneath the PA Turnpike. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Township of Towamencin along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of the Township of Towamencin and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by the Township of Towamencin A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 starting at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time at the Township Municipal Complex Meeting Hall (1090 Troxel Road, Lansdale, PA). Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged. Questions will be received on PennBid™ only until Friday, October 1, 2021, 12:00 pm. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. This project is financed in party by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The Township of Towamencin reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
