TOWNSHIP OF LOWER MERION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1. Sealed Proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following: Remington Basin Improvements Contract Number: 4652-21-41 Penn Wynne Park Bio-Swale Contract Number: 4652-21-42 Remington Basin Improvements and Penn Wynne Park Bio-Swale (combined) Contract Number: 4652-21-43 2. Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (www.Pennbid.net). 3. Proposals will be received until 11 AM, prevailing time, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. 4. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document. 5. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required. 6. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above. 7. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Remington Basin in Wynnewood, PA 19096, on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 9 AM, for all interested Bidders. Bidders shall park along Barwynne Lane, then walk up the shared driveway of 300 Barwynne Lane, and wait at the basin entrance by the sign. Do not park on the shared driveway. Afterwards, interested bidders may visit Penn Wynne Park at 1214 E Manoa Road, Wynnewood, PA 19096. Please note that if the rain / snow date is needed, it will be posted via PennBid. 8. Scope of Work The work at each location includes, but are not limited to, clearing and grubbing; excavation and grading; tree removal; removal of invasive plantings; new plantings; bituminous pavement replacement; temporary erosion and sediment control measures; temporary stream diversion; and site restoration. In addition at Penn Wynne Park, are new stormwater structures and pipes, boulder wall, and fencing. Construction is estimated to begin in March 2022 pending contract execution and weather conditions. 9. Detailed specifications developed by the Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Questionsâ€? feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, January 21, 2022. 10. ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FACT THAT NOT LESS THAN THE MINIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE PAID ON THIS PROJECT, AND THAT THE CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT EMPLOYEES AND APPLICANTS FOR THE EMPLOYMENT ARE NOT DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF THEIR, RACE, COLOR, RELIGIOUS CREED, ANCESTRY, AGE, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY, OR BECAUSE OF A PERSON’S SEXUAL ORIENTATION, GENDER IDENTITY OR GENDER EXPRESSION. 11. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informality or irregularity as deemed to the best interest of the Township. Jody L.
